I'M ISA
Trained in woodworking and restoration, I approach design from the perspective of a maker. My foundation in joinery shapes the way I think - considering proportion, structure, and construction from the outset so that ideas translate seamlessly into built form. I design interiors, furniture, and installations that unite spatial clarity with material integrity, drawn to honest materials and quiet atmospheres. The result is work that balances precision and warmth - intentional, tactile, and made to endure.
Atelier Arrūma is the creative practice through which I bring this approach into form. The name Arrūma is derived from the Portuguese verb arrumar, meaning to organise, arrange and bring into order.
For me, this reflects the way I design — shaping spaces with intention, structure and clarity while creating quiet atmospheres that feel grounded, tactile and considered.
